usando? does anyone know what this word means???

Hey guys im on rossetta stone for portuguese and I was wondering if anyone knew what usando means.

usando, in  portuguese, means '"using it", like  John is using his car to get to work, or Joao esta usando seu carro para ir ao trabalho.

also, usando could mean wearing, like Mary is wearing a pair of jeans, or maria esta usando um par de jeans.
