start up gui error for winGrass 6.3/cygwin

Hi,
Im getting an error after starting grass63 that reads,
"Error Setting region (Problem with g.region?) Child process exited abnormally.

I did cygcheck -c and it reported back to me that
xorg-x11-bin version 6.8.99.901-1 was incomplete.

I then tried to re-install all the files for cygwin in x11 but I am still  having the same problem.

Can someone please help.
