I am getting the same problems...IE 8 keeps telling me that the 'swfobject' is undefined in shadowbox.js

I think this is a brand new issue due to all the updates downloaded from Microsoft as of yesterday. Security Updates to IE 8 have created this new issue. 2 days ago everything was running fine.

I have no problems with shadowbox in the latest versions of Firefox, Chrome and Safari, just IE 8.

Im having same problem.
I can see a website fine with shadowbox, but im thinking its a different version.
I will try to see if i can get that same version.
Also website is fine in mozilla.

http://dropdeaddazzlingdesigns.net/ddddesigns1/Wedding-Fleet.html works fine in mozilla.

i was able to see both links you posted in mozilla, but only the first one in IE8.

put shadowbox in main directory of site and added

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd">
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">

to the top of html file.

this seems to have fixed the other error, but caused a 14154 error now.

Hi all,
my friend (beauty) solved my problem.

I've put the line below how first line all my web page that have the script

<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01//EN"
"http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/strict.dtd">

I hope this can solve your case too.

IE7 gives me error

same problem! come on this thing supposed to be browser tested, compaible etc. and it does not work with IE with ANY doctype, tried many, also <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/strict.dtd"> just same error as ppl mentioning above, will there be a fix pls?? :)
