You can try to test using Google Suggestion.

Message:
Hi,
I'm using Ubuntu 8.10 (Intrepid) with the bundled scim (1.4.7) install
with it. Firefox 3.0.6
You can re-produce the problem by visiting the google search home page
http://www.google.comIn the search box, when you type something, it will show up the drop down
list containing words that match the one you type in and the list will
change when you continue to type in.
But it doesn't work unless I turn off SCIM (Using English/Keyboard)
Also, I tried to test on Ubuntu 7.10 with Firefox 2 it still doesn't work.

Message:
Could you give me your environment?
What OS do you use?
How did you get SCIM?
What SCIM package do you have now?
I cannot tell you anything without detailed information.
And please give me your test case. (Step by step instruction, expected
result, and actual result)
And, what is Google Suggestion?
Does it have something to do with SCIM?
