Summary: Scim doesn't work with Skype
Initial Comment:
I have a Gentoo box and scim doesn't work in Skype.
When in Skype all Chinese methods disappear from the menu.
I found many similar references on the internet with various instructions (like using QT_IM_MODULE=scim-bridge or QT_IM_SWITCHER=imsw-multi). But those instructions didn't work for me.
Please fix this since Skype is a major piece of software where people want to input in various languages.

Works for me - I can type canna with scim-bridge-qt4 (compiled from sources
myself), and Qt 4.5.0 (I run skype build with shared Qt against Qt 4.5.0)
Here is my environment:
XMODIFIERS=@im=SCIM
QT_IM_MODULE=scim-bridge
