scenario based use cases

One of the topics that came up a number of times at CPE Developer Days was use cases.  It was suggested that we do a better job (through a different approach?) at defining the uses cases related to CPE and which ones CPE is actually trying to satisfy.

 

I have taken a stab at this based on our current use cases (as well as suggested used cases during CPE Developer Days).  In short, I have tried to change the language of the use case description and talk about it in more of a scenario format.  From there, different high-level user needs were identified.  These needs were then mapped to different technologies to determine what problems CPE should be trying to solve.

 

Please don't hesitate to make suggestions about additional scenarios or user needs.  Also, if you have ideas related to the format of the document and how we might be able to improve it please don't hesitate to share.  This document is NOT in its final form but hopefully can be used to spark some great discussion on the topic.
