If your sub can't make it back in time for dispatch, can they cut your route?

I have seen that happen in the past, but it was a regular occurance, not just one time.

I doubt they could do anything to your route if your SUB couldn't do HIS/HER job in the proper amount of time.  However, if the regular carrier couldn't make it back in time for dispatch that would be a different story.

the sub not making it back in time will be more of a problem for the sub than it will be for either you or the size of your route.  i have never heard of this being any kind of concern.  years ago we had a sub in a similar situation, another route opened up, and he was allowed to switch routes.  i have heard the supervisors talking that it was one of the biggest mistakes they ever made allowing him to stay.  over 15 years later, now as a regular for the past 4 years, he still has problems making dispatch on occasion, always has 2080 issues, and now in the first week of the new guarantee year, has asked to take lwop looking ahead to avoid problems for next year.
