thanks, they're back to where they were on the 8th: 20/100 steps for
the playback slider, and 2/10 or the others, which is fine for the
1.3.8 release.

Yes I guess so, then the steps are 20%/2%. I think 10/100
would be better, but it seems there is a bit of a conflict here
between VI users who want fewer steps and sighted ones who
want more? I've only a bit of experience with NVDA, but if you
go fast through menus it seems to just slur the messages
together and keep up?

How about 5/100? (the volume sliders in vista use this), but do you
often need to be that precise?

OK :=). 100 steps could likely be a waste on some sound devices but
maybe we should support it if these gradations are potentially functional?
