[pkg-config] issues

any idea if in the
http://downloads.openmoko.org/developer/toolchains/openmoko-i686-20090323-armv4t-linux-gnueabi-toolchain-openmoko.tar.bz2
toolchain the patch described on
http://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/pkg-config/2008-January/000255.html
was applied?

Unfortunatelly PKG_CONFIG_SYSROOT_DIR is not taken into consideration,
that makes cross compiling rather difficult
