paster and ZopeSkel presentation at next Plip in Namur

Hi ploners,

During next Plip meeting (Sept. 26), I will give an introduction to a
project to which I contribute since a while: ZopeSkel.

ZopeSkel is a set of templates for 'paster', a python utility script
that generates code skeletons that can be used as the starting point of
new python projects. The groovy thing about 'paster' is that it
generates code that is ready for 'eggification'. As eggs are more and
more used in the Zope and Plone world, it is a very convenient tool.

I will be presenting what paster can do and what it is not, how to use
paster and the ZopeSkel templates for starting up the writing of a basic
Zope or Plone package, a basic Plone buildout, and a Plone theme (skin
product), and how to install and develop the generated packages as eggs.

This presentation comes in complement to the talk that Godefroid will
give about zc.buildout.

Looking forward to seeing you in Namur,
David

During the Dutch Plone user day last wednesday I also presented genesis.wsl which is a paster template which reads wsl files and generates fully functional plone 3 style content types.

see: http://svansson.org/articles/Generating-Plone-Products-without-UML

Good luck with your presentation!

+ 100000 for ZopeSkel /PasteScript
