Prasad,
In the OVAL Repository we use the <oval_repository> element
to track status and submission data for each definition. You can learn more
about the content of this element in the submission guidelines.
http://oval.mitre.org/repository/about/submission.html#general
Here is a direct link to the schema that specifies the structure
of the <oval_repository> element.
http://oval.mitre.org/repository/download/schema/oval-repository-metadata-schema.xsd
Note that this element is not defined in the OVAL Language and
is simply an extension the we use in the OVAL Repository. If you are
reviewing the OVAL Repository you may also be interested in the OVAL Repository
Authoring style guide.

Finally, I have sent this reply to the oval-discussion-list
because that list is used for discussing the contents of the OVAL Repository. The
oval-developer-list is intended for questions about the OVAL Language, implementing
support for the language, and other developer related issues.
Regards,
Jon

Subject: [OVAL-DEVELOPER-LIST] <oval_repository> element
I could not find a mapping for <oval_repository>
element anywhere in the schemata. I am using windows-xp definition. I looked
through the post archives to see if this has been discussed in the past. Can
someone please enlighten me as to the purpose, binding and bounds for this
element (as part of <definition>)?
