If you mean the next Beta (1.3.10), a few weeks
or less.

If you mean the next Stable (2.0, to replace 1.2.5/6),
then we are still hoping to achieve this towards the
end of this year. At the moment we are still working
on fixing a number of really important bugs and usability
problems.

Alpha builds are our very latest development code (the current
state of that code at any particular time between Beta releases).
We call them "Nightly builds" for want of a better term (the
builds for Mac are in fact automated and made every night).

You can download these here:
http://wiki.audacityteam.org/index.php?title=Nightly_Builds

Note these builds are by definition less stable than Beta builds
and may on occasion still contain one or two bugs serious enough
to block a Beta release. They should not be used as your production
version of Audacity. Their purpose is for users to test out our
latest ideas and fixes, and report problems to us. Problems should
be reported to [hidden email] .
