| its great to have such a powerful programm for free. Thanks for all
| you efforts.
We're glad you like Audacity. All the people involved in Audacity development
and support are volunteers, and appreciate hearing from end-users who are
finding Audacity useful.
If you are not already doing so, you could if you wish subscribe to receive
news of new Audacity versions at the bottom of this page:
http://audacity.sourceforge.net/We hope to release a new stable 1.4.0 with many new features (based on
the current 1.3.3 Beta) in the not too distant future.
| once a recorded wave file is stored as mp3 a id3 tag editor starts but
| only the first time.
| every following recordings gets the same tag.
We will be discussing possible improvements so that the Tag Editor appears
when you export MP3s on subsequent occasions in the same session. In the
meantime, when you want to export your second and later tracks, please click
Project > Edit ID3 tags (or File > Open Metadata Editor if you are using the
1.3.3 Beta) then you can change the ID3 tags to the ones you want for your
current export.
At the moment however Audacity can only store one set of tags at a time, so
for example if you were to import two MP3s into Audacity each with its own
tag, only the tags from the first imported file would be stored. Supporting
independent tags for each track will be considered after the next stable 1.4.0
release.
