Hi all,

Over the last week or so Jody and myself have been hacking on a new
sphinx based website. You can find the first cut of it at:

http://test.geotools.org

Still lacks content of course but feedback about the look and feel is
welcome. Just as a disclaimer I did not spend a lot of time making sure
all the color schemes work, and the contrast is right, etc... not really
my forte so any guidance there would be appreciated.

The revamped logo of the compass with the wrench was something done up
by the TOPP design team. Not sure how people feel about it compared to
the old logo.

Hmmm... just tested it at 1024 x 768 and it does not quite lay out
properly, ooops... that is what I get for developing on a mac. I will
try to fix that.

-Justin

Justin, that looks real purty (at 1920x1200). Very clear and usable
layout. Much better than the wiki wall-of text.

Yeah, I took the liberty of asking the TOPP design team to come up with
a new logo on our behalf, asking them to maintain the compass like the
current logo. I quite like the result :)

I have the 1000H, although I have not used it for months. I upgraded it
to 2GB RAM. It is a lot quicker than I expected. Now that we have fixed
app-schema's memory bloat, it is an option.

Every web developer should use an Eee or other netbook from time to time
... 1024x600 is the new widescreen.  :-)

Any looked at the page on an iPhone?

The new logo looks very smart, in all senses of the word.

And the front page layout looks terrific
