Hi all

can anyone of you tell me quickly the difference betwen these two elements?

cpe:/o:microsoft:windows-nt:2000:sp4 Microsoft Windows 2000 sp4
cpe:/o:microsoft:windows_2000::sp4 Microsoft windows 2000 sp4

Both are from the dict as of 22080421.. Also, wich one is to be  
prefered? I guess the windows-nt:2000 accurates the version 5.x of the  
windows family, but I'm not sure..

You will find both in "cpe-dictionary-v2.1-20080421.xml", but
"cpe:/o:microsoft:windows-nt:2000:sp4" will have the "deprecated"
attribute set to "true" and the "deprecated_by" attribute set to
"cpe:/o:microsoft:windows_2000::sp4".  Hope this helps.

I see.. the script to parse the xml dictionary missed the deprecate*  
attributes so both appeared without additional information in the db..  
  Thanks Timothy, next time I'll look better.
