Hi!

I'm a Miro developer and I noticed that there's a MiroGuide backend for
Coherence in svn.  The file is named miro_storage.py.

I have two questions:

First, how can I get that file renamed to something more appropriate
like miroguide_storage.py?  Should I write up a ticket for it?  If so,
what component should it be under?

Second, has anyone started a Miro storage backend?  If there's already
work on it out there, I'd love to help out with that.  Otherwise, I'll
write my own.

Hi,

i wrote that plugin. It is still in preliminary status, as not all video can be exposed that simply (especially video published as torrents) and it lacks advanced features such as streams pre-download...

I've got no problem with renaming it. Consider it done.

What do you mean by a miro backend? A backend which exposes the local content downloaded by MIRO? A MIRO module giving access to UPnP content from the MIRO IHM?

tickets are always great. ;-)
You could have used 'Coherence - across the board' component
or left it empty.

One the other hand, the filename does only partially reflect the
function of the backend. It is possible that one file could
contain two backend classes, like in buzztard_control.py, which
is a 'MediaServer' and a 'MediaRenderer'.

Which leads me to the same question Jean-Michel had:

What would be a "Miro storage backend"?
