Hanno,
As PLIP authors merge their work to Plone 4, is there anything they
should know re also merging it to Plone trunk?

Ah, right. I think my advice right now is:

Don't try to merge to trunk and leave it alone.

There are too many changes in trunk, which haven't seen a PLIP process
review and are essentially impossible to review in their current
state. There's also too many changes done in anger, which don't hold
up under a second review.

Once we are done with Plone 4, I plan to recut the various trunk
versions from a plain Plone 4 and move the various changes being made
to clearly separated out PLIP branches. Some of these might be
applicable for a Plone 4.1 release.

The only difference I'd leave in trunk, would be the move to Zope
2.13, WSGI and using chameleon. Now that "my framework team" is
recovering and soon has mental capacity available again, we can sketch
out the details of this or a completely different strategy.

PLIP#9309 requires a merge work into Zope as well as into Plone.
Will you also handle Zope merge?

I won't touch anything in Zope2 itself. That's up to you :-)
