Dear FDO PSC,

I would like to step down as FDO PSC member and make my chair free
for someone who would be more active in the project than me.
Recently (or longer) I have been unable to devote time to the project(s)
and I've made my decision to dissapear from the community.
I don't know if/when I will come back, so I think it would be best for
the project if someone take over my position in the PSC.

I'd like to thank you all very much for the great time and
experience I found in the FDO project.

Best regards,

Sorry to hear that Mateusz;

Thanks for your involvement to this point, and I hope that your commitments allow you to return to active involvement in FDO in the future.

This brings up at least two issues:

1) We will want to look for nominations to fill Mateusz' place on the PSC.  There are a few that I can think of immediately based on community participation in FDO (Jackie, Jack, Traian).  Any other thoughts?

2) It appears that the PostGIS provider is suddenly without a parent.  Unless someone is able to step up and fill this role, we may need to move it to an "unmaintained" status, whatever that means.  Any volunteers?  I suppose that this information should be posted to -users as well.

Oops, for some reason I thought Robert was already on the PSC; another obvious choice...

In which role Gwenael?  I think he'd be an ideal choice to maintain the PostGIS provider if he has time.

Hi Jason,
Well, I think Bruno would be great both at PSC and FDO PostGIS maintainer...
But I didn't even speak with him about that.

Regards,
Gwenael

Typically, I'd want to see a certain level of community involvement before proposing someone for the PSC.  The names that I came up with have all been fairly active recently answering questions in either the FDO or MapGuide community discussion groups, discussing RFCs, etc.  Of course, there may be other levels of involvement (OSGeo FR?) that I'm not aware of.
