Whenever our steward comes in he seems to make the offiuce cringe.  He has all these ideas about making changes that will affect the carriers and he wants to grieve everything.  Never a discussion with the PM or the carriers.  Straight to the step one grievance.  His attitude is very unprofessional and rude.  Can the State Steward have him removed if we notify him of this office situation?  Everyone jokes about the steward when he is not in the office.   They say he is spiining his wheels.  He has not won a grievance to date.  My guess is his nasty attitude.

contact one of the assistant state stewards about your problem. A steward should be able to work WITH management to fix things! Not look for things to grip about. He is there for YOU to go to for help, he should not be trying to drum up business!

Somewhere along this road everyone has to do their part.  I know in alot of offices management abuses the rural carrier.  They really do need to stop.  There alot of items in the book that are old and need to be updated.  Sometimes we all need to adjust.
