just curious as to what the longest and shortest route out there is for both llv's and pov's? where i'm at, the only llv rural route is about 20 miles (all paved) .  the longest pov route is about 110 miles, with probably 60-65 miles of gravel, and the balance paved.  the shortest pov route in office is 65 miles, with maybe 40 miles of gravel.  wondering where the break point is for routes to get an llv.  what do you have in your office?

We have 11 rurals - 10 LLV, 1 POV.  They go from 18mi to 43mi.  Two of the routes are in excess of 40 miles, but 1 has an LLV and 1 has a POV.  They refuse to give the only POV route an LLV because of mileage; go figure.  The reason the rest of the routes have LLVs is because we've had them since the dinosaur age when they first assigned them to rural routes, and the POV route refused it at that time.  Now they tell her she has too many miles to be assigned one.  Tough to get a sub (or regular) for the 1 route that has to use their own vehicle...been there, done that, bid off when gas went to $4/gal.
