ShapefileDataStore does not work with sparse shape files if useMemoryMapped is false
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: GEOT-2791
URL:
http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/GEOT-2791 Project: GeoTools
Issue Type: Bug
Components: data shapefile
Affects Versions: 2.5.5
Environment: RHEL4, Sun JDK 1.6.0_05-b13
Reporter: Ron Anderson
Assignee: Andrea Aime
Attachments: w_15jl09.zip
If useMemoryMapped is not specified when creating the ShapefileDataStore, the code may attempt to position the buffer past it's limit when skipping forward over a gap between records. I have attached a shapefile which exposes this issue. The error occurs at line 358 in ShapefileReader attempting to skip to record 30.
