If anyone is interested in trying out Jackie's latest additions to the installer (allows toggling FDO providers during install) or the current MapGuide code, I've placed an interim installer here:

http://download.osgeo.org/mapguide/testing/

I don't think we should release a new beta until Fusion 2.0 is ready... which will hopefully be soon?

I'm on vacation for two weeks, I am hoping that Mike and Zak will have
some time to commit to some of the bugs before I am back.

Very cool, one minor issue:

After the install, there is a dialog box that states the version number.
When pressing the only button avalible, "OK", the system reboots.
I think the message and button choice should be changed :).

Which one were you installing?  I uploaded a new version today, built from a completely clean checkout, and using fusion trunk.  I didn't get a chance to test it though so maybe I messed it up somehow.

There should be a reboot notice after installing, but its supposed to be handled by wix. The version # thing is really odd.

Apparently I can't get anything right this week.  Could you put in a ticket for this so I don't forget to look at it when I get back from GeoWeb?

I need a bigger plate, or less stuff on it right now :)

Thx,
Jason

Sure.
I will re-test on a fresh machine, then create the issue.

Hi
I tested interim build 4114 - looks quite good but there are a few defects
in fusion viewer which I cannot resolve myself:

- selection only displays selected objects in the selection panel but are
not highlighted on the map
- the toolbar(Main Menu) is not displayed at all
- the overview map looks quirky (see attachment)

Any ideas

Thanks, Andreas

Did you find a solution to the toolbar problem you were seeing?  Is it visible in one of the bundled MapGuide themes?

Yes, in a way:

For some reason, the toolbar menus do not have the function setTooltip()
anymore - I've set them in my application definition with Mapguide Studio
2009
And furthermore the is an issue with reading all MapGroups into the MapMenu

For both of these issue I'll submit a ticket with workaround patch...

Does the commit from a couple days ago address the MapGroup handling?

http://trac.osgeo.org/fusion/ticket/228

The widget structure and Jx changed considerably changed between Fusion 1.1 and Fusion 2.0, so I wouldn't be surprised if there were a few backwards incompatibilities.  A bit more on these changes here:

Hhm, seems that madair did the same work yesterday...

But for the tooltip-issue I didn't find a fix so far.

Hi Andreas,

We seem to be encountering all the same problems in Fusion 2.  I think the tooltips for the toolbar work, but that there is a problem accessing them from the buttons.  My button icons are smaller than the button background area.  If I carefully place my cursor in the space between the icon and the edge of the background, the tooltip does apppear.  Putting the cursor on the icon does not produce a tooltip.

I'll report this when I get a few minutes.

Andy
