integrating AD into another cake app

Hi
any hint about how to integrate AD into another existing app?
Which steps? Which issues?
For my school I'd like to have a shared calendar where each user can delete only his/her events...

As it is, AD is a standalone app, and so the only way as I see it that it can work with another Cake app would be as a plugin. This shouldn't be too difficult to do, and in fact, I used AD as the tutorial in my book for how to write plugins, so you could go there as a reference for how to make this happen.
