In the presentation referred from <http://www.apple.com/iphone/preview-iphone-os/> there are various points of interest.

Of greatest interest to Chandler community:

* Calendar support for CalDAV and for subscriptions (over the air, I guess)

* Notes sync (whether this will be OTA or through iTunes, I don't know).

On the timeline of the presentation:

01:13:30 Voice memos

01:14:08 CalDAV, subscriptions

01:16:05 Search — Contacts, Mail (from, to, subject, all headers, server-side (supported by Exchange 2007 and most IMAP servers)), Calendar, iPod (music, video), Notes (title, body)

01:17:35 Spotlight (search applications, Calendar, Contacts, iPod, Mail, Notes)

01:20:30 Notes sync, live streaming, shake to shuffle, proxy support, Wi-Fi auto login, LDAP, EAP SIM, A2DP stereo support for Bluetooth headphones, create meeting invitations, auto-fill, call log, parental controls, OTA (over the air) profiles, VPN on demand, languagues, YouTube, EAS policies, encrypted profiles

01:22:33 peer-to-peer connectivity, accessories, push notification, cut, copy, paste, undo, redo, landscape keyboard

Also: MMS, send multiple photos, (support for) turn-by-turn maps with spoken navigation

01:25:56 free for iPhone 3G and original iPhone (original will support vast majority of features (excluding MMS and stereo Bluetooth)), $9.95 for iPod touch, shipping summer 2009.

So it is confirmed that the new iPhone 3.0 OS will support CalDAV. Here
is the quote:

"Improved Calendar

Create meetings via Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync and subscribe to
calendars with new CalDAV support."

from here:

http://www.apple.com/iphone/softwareupdate/

That will make Cosmo/Chandler pretty interesting on the iPhone, even
without a native Chanlder/iPhone app.

iPhone OS3 to support CalDAV: not sure about Notes on iPhone, VTODO, and transition from Chandler note to event

<http://www.apple.com/iphone/softwareupdate/> mentions CalDAV only in relation to Calendar, not in relation to Notes.

Also, I don't know whether this iPhone OS makes any equation between VTODO and Notes.

Considering the interop issues between current Chandler Server and iCal 3.x, affecting e.g. 'transition' from Chandler note to Chandler event, I should pay careful attention to (at least) events that originate as notes. I don't have an iPhone, but someone might like to verify whether such events become visible in Calendar of iPhone OS 3.0

Also, it will be interesting to know whether Chandler Server/Hub fulfils the CalDAV-related requirements of Calendar in iPhone OS 3.0.

In any case: Apple's developments are warmly welcomed!
