high power line right of way chemically managed?

Hi everyone, I was surfing around and found mention of OH's herbfest happening later this year. It looks like something I'd like to and would enjoy attending
but did I read the map of the land correctly?
Are there high power lines crossing the property?

Not that I'm afraid of just a couple days close to and occasionally under something like that would cause me massive long term harm but I am concerned about how the power company manages the vegetation growing under the power lines.
In the past I've had some rather drastic and rapid reactions to the chemicals rail roads use to manage vegetation along their right of ways and I'd like to avoid the same thing happening to me far from home.

If they are high power lines, how is the vegetation under them managed?

While there is power lines running across the property, they are toward the south-end near the entrance to Our Haven.  There is also parking in those fields and I cannot remember anyone camping there.

The road up to high pasture is just that... it's high and at a steep angle.  A topographical map shows a rather steep elevation.

To give you a better understanding of the scale of the picture, you are looking at 175 acres of property within the dotted line of this picture:

The power lines crossing the property is but a small portion.

I can't answer exactly how the vegetation under the lines is managed but I believe it is by mowing and trimming.  I have never seen anyone spraying or smelled any sprays being used along this power line cut for as long as I have been going there.

Hope this helps.

To answer your question The High tension lines are managed by the power company and contracts it out.
Once every two years they will clear it out and then let grow. As far as I know the do not spray here. At least I have not seen them with sprayers , just bad ass brush clearers .I hope this helps

Thank you Bill and Robert for your speedy answer to my question.

I recall back when Frontier used to have their herbfests there were signs posted around their rural warehouse reminding the county not to spray along side the road
but I've also been on other herb events where the group leader herded us alongside sprayed railways oblivious that some of us might have a physical problem (in my case, rather embarrassing so I try to remember to ask ahead of time) with that.

I imagine if someone learns otherwise between now and then they'll share the warning in this forum,
but for the time being
I'm putting the herbfest on my calendar and really looking forward to attending.
Thank you again.
