gvsig with geoserver layer security

Dear list,

I am useing geoserver to publish geodata for several customers. I want
to use  layer security to make the access more secure. How is it
possible to access secured wms layers. geoserver uses HTTP basic
authentication. I do not know how to transmit user and password from
within gvsig.

I think it isn't clear what I want to do. Is t possible to dend basic
http authentication of the form

http://username:passwor@urlofmywms

with gvsig. If I try to use the URL in that way, gvsig always cuts the
username:password@ from the given url. Is it possible to prevent gvsig
from cutting the authentication part.

I think you will need some modifications in gvSIG's WMS plugin to do this.
