Hello, CSS.  My name is Heila, and I am the Executive Director of a newly forming non-profit restaurant called Moab Eats.

Moab Eats will use local and organic food whenever possible.  We will serve a buffet of well prepared, seasonal dishes.  Patrons will choose their portions and then decide on a fair price for their meals.  We call our payment system FairXchange.  Payment may be in money, service, or trade.  We will also have simple fair, such as rice and beans, for free.  Moab Eats is healthy, delicious food for everyone.

We are excited about introducing ourselves to the community at this year's Pumpkin Chuckin Festival on Saturday, October 25th.  Our booth will give Moab a delicious taste of our meals, and our unique FairXchange system.

We are looking for donations of the following items to use at our Pumpkin Chuckin Festival booth.  We would be happy to work out a trade--say, a meal from our booth--with persons that provide these items.

  Produce (local is best)

  Eggs (anyone have chickens?)

  Cooking oil

Organic Grains: rice, couscous, pasta, etc.

  Herbs, spices

If you are interested, please contact me, Heila Ershadi at 259-2484 or at [hidden email].  Or contact our board chair, Chris Conrad, at 260-8287 or at [hidden email] .

Our mutual focus on sustainability and community make Moab Eats and CSS naturally compatible, and we are enthusiastic about the productive ways our organizations may partner in the future.

Thank you.
