is anyone else's dogs like this?....daisy gets very whinney if you have been stroking her and then have to stop. yesterday she mouthed, cried and nibbled my hand because i couldnt stroke her any more. i liken her to the terrible twos in children.

Obviously a family trait.... Bob (was) dreadful and still will be, given the chance.

We try and fuss him on our terms then say "Go settle" which is the general calm down/go away term we use. It's taken ages but we are getting there

My greyhound Ozzy is the same, i think he'd have me stroking him all day if he had his own way. He's such a softy but i don't mind. Way i look at it he making up for all the years spent in kennels not getting the constant attention he's getting now.

PS...Here is a photo of him in his favourite position.....on the settee!!!

that picture of ozzy (great name) is really sweet, he looks like he's got butter wouldn't melt face. i dont mind stroking daisy for ages as long as its on my terms cos she's a bit attention seeking and is nippy when she doesnt get her own way. shes still very puppy like in many ways

Sophie loves attention, too. I'm not sure if there's something in her past as a stray that means she is even more appreciative of it. I reckon she's just a cuddly dog by nature as were my other lurchers. (She especially loves going camping because she gets to snuggle up with the kids).
