deegree3 Alpha Demo Release for OGC Sensor Observation Service (SOS) Published

The Free Software project deegree has released the first alpha demo
release of the deegree3 project. deegree3 is a complete redesign based
on the experiences from deegree2 and associated projects. It is based on
current Java technologies and aims to implement recent standards
published by the OGC. deegree3 is modular by design and comprises the
following modules:
- client
- commons
- contrib
- dataaccess
- documentation
- processing
- security
- services
- test
- tools
The alpha demo includes a base implementation of OGC's Sensor
Observation Service (SOS) and a generic client tool to access this
service. The demo contains a Web Archive (war) ready for deployment
inside a Java Servlet Container (e.g. Apache Tomcat) and a short
documentation with an emphasis on installation and configuration of the
demo service.
