the owners of the pirate bay were arrested and the courts are attempting to hold them responsible for their registered users' posts of early releases...screeners and such...of certain movies.
their is no indication really that they will be, or even can be, held responsible for the content of their website. after all, it is a person to person sharing webpage.

axxo has indeed gone quiet, but he, and the adminstrators of the website his releases originate from, claim that its a vacation, and he will release again soon.
but he has done nothing for weeks, (since march 10th, '09..Punisher-War Zone), and nothing since that comment from him and darksiderg.com.
(if you register and check the forums there, and if you can find it, you will see where axxo himself posted a reply to a "where's axxo?" topic, trying to put his fans at ease, but mostly trying to stem the massive wave of forum posts inquiring to his whereabouts, and screaming for more releases from the star of
AXXO--HOLLYWOOD IS BURNING.

that little bit of self promotion from axxo may be the reason the scene is so nervous right now, and why the heat is on. but thats just my opinion.
fxg has released torrents very recently. all dvdrips of dvd releases, as have several of the most trusted sharers and release groups.
check mininova.
but i do believe that these release groups are laying back, waiting to see what the future holds, and are unsure of whether or not they are in violation of some law, possibly watching and waiting for the arrest of the owners of the pirate bay.
read the klaxxon/nabble comment on this home page. it is obvious all of them are skittish about continuing their regular modus operandi.
then again, it may just be that the good dvd releases are just played out, and these guys are waiting for the newer, good movies to be released on dvd.
in any case, you can still download some great movies from all of these people....stuff that has been up for a while now.
i know in my case, it would take me months to grab all of axxo's releases. his stuff is on fire right now, showing a resurgence, and seeding, of his earlier releases.
and that too may be the reason for the recent silence of these torrent hero's.
who the hell really knows? not i.
