It;s set to use the localhost as smtp, and I can send mail outbound from the localhost.  I just can't figure out why I can't use the form to send an e-mail to the site contact.  Thanks!

Nate,

Does the form give you any messages other than "Please correct the indicated errors" (maybe in a red, pink or orange box)?

Are you able to get the Zope server log and check it to see if any other error messages?

Are you able to retrieve user passwords by e-mail?

Nate,

I hope you don't mind but I am forwarding our conversation back to the list... There is always someone who can contribute to the discussion, and your situation gets recorded to help people  with the same problem in the future.

Now, back to your problem: the error messages seem to point some problem with the actual values you input in the subject and message fields. What are the values you used?

It doesn't appear to be generating errors in the instance-Z2.log.  I confirmed that's the only long that's being updated (sorting with ls -oSt).  I watched it with tail -f while I generated the error.  anyother suggestions, Thanks again!

Thanks for following up!
I get an orange box.  It indicates there are bad entries in both the subject and message fields.  I think i tried to retrieve passwords before by mail and failed because they're encrypted.  I'll check on the logs now.
