Hello,

This may seem simple, but I cannot seem to connect to the exchange.marketcetera.com:7001 quote feed with my Photon 0.5.0 client:

08:35:28,665 ERROR - Error connecting to market data feed

The Preferences --> Connections --> Market-Data-Feed field is un-editable.   Am I missing something or is this feature currently being refactored?

Sangaran,

I checked the quotefeed simulator logs and it looks like it was in a
"wedged state", so i restarted the simulator. You should now be able
to connect to it.

The Connections -> Market Data field should be a popup . Are you
saying that you can't pick between the 2 choices, the bogus feed and
the plain Marketcetera feed?

Hmm .. still can't seem to get it working.

Yes, I am unable to pick between the 2 choices (the bogus feed and Marketcetera feed).  I think the problem is that I am launching Photon from my Elcipse developer's environment.  When I run the packaged standalone executable, it connects to the quote feed fine.   Maybe there is a Photon-specific config file I am missing?

Sangaran,

This is pretty strange behaviour.  There really isn't any config file
that determines the behaviour for the popup.

I assume that you've done the "clean bulid" approach already, and it's
still not working? Have you tried going to Run -> "Open Run Dialog"
dialog and setting Eclipse to clear the workspace before running?
(this is under the workspace data)

let me know if that fixes it fore you

Sangaran,

If what Toli suggested doesn't help please also verify the following: In eclipse, go to Run->Run Configurations and choose the plugins tab and then make sure all plugins are checked. You can quickly do this by choosing "all workspace and enabled target plugins", or by checking all the plugins one by one.

Thanks,
Yoram

Thanks a lot guys.

I tried clear the workspace, but that didn't work.  In addition to that, I then enabled all the workspace plug-ins in the Run Configuration, and that did the trick.
