I'm trying to build version 1.0 of photon under eclipse on a windows platform. I've followed the instructions, and get to a point where the util/util-test projects only error is "Bundle 'org.marketcetera.thirdparty' cannot be resolved.  I assume this is a plugin that wasn't downloaded when I used svn/maven?  Any help on where I can find this plugin or how to download it?

thanks,
Han.

Han,

Just to make sure, for sanity - you ran the 'mvn install' command from
top-level and it completed successfully?
And you've setup the RCP target directory in your prfiles.xml?

you then ran 'mvn eclipse:eclipse" and imported all the things into Eclipse?

In the Eclipse left-panel where all the subprojects are listed, do you
see an entry for org.marketcetera.thirdparty?

thanks

Toli,

Did the mvn install from the top level, then ran mvn eclipse:eclipse from the top level as well.  I imported the projects, so for example I have org.marketcetera.core.tests, org.marketcetera.photon, org.marketcatera.photon.build, etc, etc.  No org.marketcetera.thirdparty.  I've gone through this process 2 or 3 times now to make sure I followed the directions.

When I used svn to checkout, I notice there is no thirdparty dir under source - not sure if this matters?

Han.

Han,

Did you modify profiles.xml.sample appropriately for your installation?
The minimum required is to copy it to a file named profiles.xml.

Hi Han,

The plugin 'org.marketcetera.thirdparty' is dynamically built by maven during the mvn install.  This happens via two poms: source/photon/maven/bundle/pom.xml and source/photon/maven/rcptarget/pom.xml

After 'mvn install', you should be able to find a photon-bundle-1.0.0.jar in your local repository ~/.m2/repository/org/marketcetera/photon-bundle/1.0.0

That jar should have also have been unzipped into a "org.marketcetera.thirdparty_1.0.0" directory in the "target platform" (this location is configured via the mvn.photon.target property in your profiles.xml).

Inside Eclipse, it should show up in the "Plug-ins" view.

Do you have the jar in your local repository?  Is it being extracted to your target?

Decided to try and rebuild again, this time did a mvn clean at the top level - I get the following error when doing so - seems to be related?:

[ERROR] BUILD ERROR
[INFO] ------------------------------------------------------------------------
[INFO] Failed to resolve artifact.

No versions are present in the repository for the artifact with a range [1.0.0,1.0.0]
  org.marketcetera:photon-bundle:jar:null
