Some javascript/style in this post has been disabled (why?)

Dear Sirs,

At the end of a recording session with « audacity 1.2.6 » using “Windows 2000” Operating System, the « Stop » button does not respond, that is to say, it is impossible to stop and to transfer to the hard disk!

Could you give me a solution to overcome this “bug”? Thank you in advance.

Sincerely yours.

Try pressing Stop repeatedly, or using File > Exit to try and force Audacity to
stop. If that does not help, try the Beta 1.3.3 (unstable) version of Audacity
which should not have this problem:
http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/beta_windows

Please note that if you want to open .aup Project files created in 1.2.6 with
1.3.3, we recommend to be completely safe that you back up the .aup file
and _data folder first (though in most cases there will be no problem). Also
once you have opened an .aup file in 1.3.3 it will not be openable in 1.2.6.
