Do you perhaps remember, maybe a year ago, some educational spot where a package of avatar animations for couples/partners (PG-rated) was located? Took me that long to get spouse into SL! Maybe I could also entice faculty to come to SL if they thought they could hold hands.

Yes,that's a fine system.  She was nice enough to show me a full demo
of it almost a year ago.  It was very impressive then and I'm sure she
has upgraded it in the year since I saw it. You and a partner can
walk, dance, fly, sit .... whatever .... together with one or the
other of you taking the lead role. It's very smooth.  By now she may
also have a verison that allows you to expand to a group as well, so
you could take all the family and friends along.

Be careful, however: it says "Rendezvous Couples Animator 3.0  is NOT
wearable -  it is a VEHICLE - it must be REZZED. It must  be used in areas
that allow rez & scripts", which means you might feel rather limited
geographically :-)

Another limitation is that it’s $3800L. Serpy  Palen’s Hug and Walk or Hand and Walk is $600, and the combined package is $1000. Worth checking out to see if it has the animations you want (walking hand in hand, with arms around each other, carrying, kissing, etc.)

True.... In USD that's only about$14.50, but in SL it will buy you one

virtually?  ;-)

Rolig,
Indeed, it's not all that much, and if I thought I was going to use all the animations in the Rendezvous, it would be worth it- but if you only want a 'walking hand in hand' animation, $3800 is a lot to pay when it's available for $600 from another source.

Elisabeth,

Absolutely. I do historical roleplay and it’s definitely worth it to me to have an animation so that my partner and I walk smoothly together as opposed to lurching along, one ahead, now the other, bumping into each other, shoving each other into the trees… <G> And for couples marrying in SL, $600 is worth a ‘carrying her over the threshold’ ani. J

One thing we found out last night, though: stairs are nearly impossible, because of the camera angles. <G>

Great suggestions and advice, people/avatars. I, too, thought L$3800 was a bit much last year and still do. I did know about the rezzing, and that wasn't much of a deal-breaker. But the newbie spouse would probably think hand-holding and walking at the same time is hard enough.

THX all,

Grinn

Hello Barbara,

Although you have apparently found the AOs that you were looking for, there are some interesting interactive AOs at the Motion Merchant. I have picked up a few on CPR, shaking hands and barbecuiing. Do you (or anyone else) know of a source for these sorts of non-intimate interactive animations? I would like to use them for my students.

Thanks,

Oronoque Westland

Do you perhaps remember, maybe a year ago, some educational spot where a package of avatar animations for couples/partners (PG-rated) was located? Took me that long to get spouse into SL! Maybe I could also entice faculty to come to SL if they thought they could hold hands.
