My system creates some files.  They are going to the directory which contains the ecf file.  I don't know why there and not where the executable is located.   But...

I want to specify the directory to which my program write.  Where do I do that?

By default EiffelStudio runs the system in the directory containing the
.ecf file.
However you can change that using the Menu Execution>Execution
parameters  (or right click on the [> Run] button)
Then "Add"  a new profile, and now you are able to specify "Arguments",
and "working directory" which is what you are looking for.
You can also add, or modify an environment variable.

Hope this helps,
Jocelyn
