The new Our Haven website will continue to be fleshed-out with content in the coming weeks.  If you our your group would have a suggestion for website content, please share it with us on this forum!

In the meantime, I am still working out some bugs with the PayPal registration buttons.  If you are registering for an event, please send an email to Our Haven letting them know before you send your payment via PayPal.  I am working directly with PayPal (waiting for a response to my queries) on this issue.

I hope you enjoy the site and find it a useful resource!

I love the new changes to the web site so far but have noticed an issue.  I have noticed that when the 'About Us', 'Community', 'Events', and 'Directions To' tabs tabs are clicked,  an 'Object not found' error appears on the mouseover event on each tab, but this does not happen when the 'Questions' and 'Contact Us' tabs are clicked.

This isn't as much of a problem at home because I have script debugging turned off in IE, but at work I have debugging turned on in my browser.

Blessings,

Thanks to Bill the registration buttons, and all financially related functionality on the website are now working beautifully!  Thank you to everyone who worked to make this happen for the site.  More website changes and updates are coming in the near future.  Stay tuned!

Thanks, Natalie for giving me credit, it's appreciated.

The Our Haven Registration pages (http://registration.ourhaven.info) is a collaborative effort to help be a part of a dream.  Without the players of the team, nothing would have been done.

Natalie with her wizardry in making wonderful graphics (I wish I had a tenth of her talents).  I was able to draw off of a lot of the graphics to insert them as a part of the registration pages to make them look like they were a part of the main Our Haven pages.

Rogder assisting in getting the domain set up and going for me to work my wizardry.  Yes, I wiggle my fingers and make computers work, too.

OS Commerce for the great program.  It seems that I have become the OS Commerce Guru since I have set up several sites with this program including my own, the registration site and a couple of others.

And, Mane... for allowing us to be a part of his dream.  Without him, none of this would be possible.

A little bit about why I chose OS Commerce:

Because it not only has the functionality of PayPal Shopping cart, it replaces it.  No more hard-coding everything if you want a change to be triggered at a particular time.  For example, the price for early registrations are "set" to go back to normal registration prices two weeks before the event.  With PP Shopping cart, it had to be manually coded and uploaded.

All registration information is handled by OS Commerce.  Just fill in your information and go.  While this took a LOT of work and "breaking" the site several times, once it's up and running, it's running!

There are a few more tweaks I want put into the site:
. Allowing "coupons" for group discount rates
. Streamlining registration
. Being able to get the "Contact Us" option to work.  This way, folks can use this instead of using plain email.

That's all that immediately comes to mind.

Hi Bill,

Could you make some changes when you get a chance?

The Calendar is definitely an Our Haven calendar but it's also a promotional for the Midwest Herb Fest. I also included all the events at Our Haven, not just the sponsored ones. That way perhaps we'll get more people interested in selling the calendar on their sites also. Babalon Rising, are you there?

Please change the title to - "2009 Our Haven and Midwest Herb Fest Calendar"

This year I also decided to include the eclipses of the Moon and Sun. Here's the particular paragraph updated for your convenience:

"The calendar includes all the events at Our Haven for 2009, full Moon and new Moon dates, equinoxes, solstices, zodiacal Sun signs, and eclipses."

The files for the calendar should be proofed and available today.

Thanks so much,
KC

Hi, Everyone!

Mary said that there has been a complaint of an error on the Registration site a couple of days ago.  The complaint that she had given me was that it was "throwing errors".  I went through a registration with a new account and I did not encounter any errors.  Nor did I see anything in an error log.  From a technical standpoint, "throwing errors" does not help me troubleshoot what was going on with the web site since I need to know more details than that.

If anyone who is using the registration site and getting an error, if you can send me the error you got, what were you doing when you got the error, what page (URL) were you getting this from and if you tried it once and then got the error and gave up or did you try it again and get the same error?

Please don't take this the wrong way but I have installed and have OS Commerce installed and working successfully on 5 separate servers with different providers and this is the first one I have encountered an error outside of someone "getting lost" through the registration process and I have streamlined that process for her clients.

Also, before contacting me, there are a couple of things to make sure that you are running on your computer before asking for help:

- You are running current version of Internet Explorer or FireFox with all patches and fixes installed. (I have not tried a registration with Google Chrome or any Macintosh browsers but OSC has been tested on a Windows machine with Opera 9.01, Firefox 1.5 and Internet Explorer 6.0)
- You have cookies enabled on your browser (required for OS Commerce)
- JavaScript enabled on your browser  (required for the registration forms)
- Go all the way through the registration.  This includes going through PayPal to complete the transaction.  When in doubt, print out the receipt you get in your PayPal email.
- add registration.ourhaven.info to your "safe web site list" and there will be one or two popups.
- make sure you fill in all of the blanks.  A known issue is the Date of Birth Field.  If that is left blank or data put in incorrectly, you will get an error asking you to fix the blank.

I do know that the Registration site will NOT work with the following
- JavaScript disabled
- Cookies disabled
- Browser does not accept session cookies
- Text-Based browsers, such as Lynx
- registration.ourhaven.info not on the safe web site list (refer to your browser's documentation)

Finally, if you have checked and fixed all of the above issues, please email me telling me what you were doing, where it was (url) what you were doing when you got the error message and possibly a screen shot if you would be so kind.  I would like to make sure that this web site is up and running 100% before the festival season comes around.

Luv ya much!
