Windows 7 file open problem

1.3.10, Clean CVS, Windows 7.

I get an issue with File > Open and File > Import. All the files
and folders are in the window when the dialogue is opened. But
the files disappear as soon as you click anywhere in the window.

It's OK if you hit a file when you click, because the file is added to
the "File name" box. If relevant, I see this both with the Windows 7
basic theme, and the XP Classic theme.

Can anyone confirm?

Hi Gale!

I grab the CVS HEAD a couple of hours ago and compiled the Debug version. I
tried both the File >Open and >Import>Audio dialogs. My Windows 7 theme is
currently set to the default Aero. I did not have a problem. Now, I have my
theme set to Windows 7 Basic-- same tests, still no problem. Now I will try
Windows Classic --same tests, still no trouble.

Thanks, Ed. I've seen no other reports of this. I've got a Windows 7
Release Candidate and of course it's Unicode Release. Could you
possibly download the Windows "Nightly":
http://www.gaclrecords.org.uk/audacity-win-unicode-1.3.10-alpha.zip

and see if you can reproduce it with that?

Grabbing it now... my current theme is Windows 7 Basic...deleting
configuration file...extracting...

*Accept English default
*do not show splash screen again
*Open File
**click in the panel where the tiles are displayed for the files but
carefully do not click on a tile -- no problem
**click outside the above mentioned panel --no problem
*Import
**same two tests as above -- no problem

Change the display view to small icons instead of tiles, run the same two
tests as above -- no problem.

Scratching head in wonder!
