I just wrote out all my due not bends and it came to 59. I am 6 min away
from a 43H (now 42H) do you think we'll get it? Might put me over the top.
Curious how others are doing on this dispute or others.

Have a great day,
Jan

Heh, my office was told by management that we get no credit for 3rd class Do Not Bends as the mailers put that on there to attempt to get better handling then they're paying for.  Not sure if that is right, but I've seen 30+ of those treated as flats.

You know someone accepted those pieces with that endorsement on them so I think the USPS has been party to "suffer and permit" by allowing the situation.  I know what the DMM says and maybe the Postmaster has read the revised version too but my customers know what "Do Not Bend" means and to mutilate their mail because of the class, which the customer does not understand, is really poor customer service.

On the other hand, my PM gave us credit for every DO NOT BEND as parcels.   District didn't like it, but hey, it is what it is.  (Isn't that their motto when they try to screw us?)   Someone paid for those pieces, the PO accepted them as DO NOT BEND, and he gave us credit for them.    I know, my PM is one of the unusual ones, but he was determined to make this a fair count.     Unfortunately, he couldn't do anything with the volume, but all in all, everyone said this was the most peaceful count we've had since 2003..   He told all the counters NOT to argue with us, but if we caught mistakes, then give them to us.   He did not want any of this petty arguing and fighting like we had last year with a different PM.    He did tell all the count gauge WAS accurate and if the piece was slightly over, then it was a flat.....It is what it is.    Should be interesting to see what district says on red-lining.
