Who at district decides which offices get LLV's?  A town nearby got them to replace their POV's, and I would like to know if we are next on the list or far from getting them.  The reason is that I'm planning on buying a RHD Jeep and have to give it up if we are soon to get LLV's here.  I know it goes by distance, plus we have alot of gravel roads.

Does the postmaster have a choice?  Do they care?  Who has the list of LLV-less offices and planned dates of deployment?

I think there is a form to fill out that gives the PO notice that you intend to buy a new Right-Hand Drive vehicle for service on your route.  Then they tell you if they are gonna give you an LLV or not.  If not, then you get a grace period where they can't give you an LLV.

This subject came up at a recent union meeting.  The PO is targeting routes that will be affected by FSS first.  That takes the safety concerns that we have had out of the equation.  Since the offices affected by the upcoming deployment have changed, I would check to see if your office is listed and what date they expect the FSS to start.  Distance and gravel roads have always been part of the decision making process.  But, I am hearing of routes with gravel roads and longer mileage being assigned LLVs.  I have one and I love it.  Some people don't.
