Hi all.
I can´t configure the OGR driver provider to my FDO conections in Autocad Map 2009. Autocad Map 2009 needs the PostGIS 8.2.5 binaries, but in the URL http://n2.nabble.com/FDO-Users-f2048584.html, I have tried several links in this download page, but it seems that none is working. Anybody can tell me where can I find this binaries or send to me? Thanks Rafa PD: I´ve tried with others versions of the PostGIS binaries but the FDO connection not work properly. |

You can also try either of the following alternative provider DLL builds to see if it makes a difference: http://13-9.com/OGRProvider-3.3.0.zip http://13-9.com/OGRProvider-3.3-utf8.zip Traian > -----Original Message----- > From: [hidden email] [mailto:fdo-users- > [hidden email]] On Behalf Of RGC > Sent: Monday, August 03, 2009 2:06 AM > To: [hidden email] > Subject: [fdo-users] Where can I find the PostGIS 8.2.5 binaries ? > > > Hi all. > > I can´t configure the OGR driver provider to my FDO conections in Autocad > Map 2009. > Autocad Map 2009 needs the PostGIS 8.2.5 binaries, but in the URL > http://n2.nabble.com/FDO-Users-f2048584.html, I have tried several links in > this download page, but it seems that none is working. > Anybody can tell me where can I find this binaries or send to me? > > Thanks > > Rafa > > PD: I´ve tried with others versions of the PostGIS binaries but the FDO > connection not work properly. > -- > View this message in context: http://n2.nabble.com/Where-can-I-find-the- > PostGIS-8.2.5-binaries---tp3376079p3376079.html > Sent from the FDO Users mailing list archive at Nabble.com. > _______________________________________________ > fdo-users mailing list > [hidden email] > http://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/fdo-users _______________________________________________ fdo-users mailing list [hidden email] http://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/fdo-users |

No idea why, those two builds have been specifically tested to
work with PostGIS on FDO 3.3 (which should be what Map 2009 uses). Also, I don’t fully understand what you mean by “OGR connection

Hi Traian. Sorry for my english.
I mean that in my AutoCad Map 3D 2009, in "File/Connect to data" I have several options to choose (ArcSDE connection, SHP connection, SDF connection, Oracle connection, OGR Connection, PostGIS connection, etc). The OGR Connection it´sok, but I can´t get the PostGIS Connection works properly. When I select "PostGis conenction" appears "Data connection provider can´t be loaded" or somenthing similar (sorry, my Autocad it´s in spanish). Hi Karl. I haven't "msjava.dll" in the "C:\windows\system32".
I've installed the OGR Connector as it´s said in http://fdo.osgeo.org/faq_mapinstall.html Interesting what it´s said in http://geospatialfrance.typepad.com/geospatialfrance/2007/09/fournisseur-fdo.html . I'm going to read it carefully. When I use the DependencyWalker with "PostGISProvider.dll" it says that the files "MPR.DLL" and "SHLWAPI.DLL" are missing in my system, but in the installation document of the FDO Provider, those files are no mentioned. OK, I misunderstood, I thought you were trying to connect to PostGIS using the OGR provider, while in fact you are using the PostGIS provider. I don't know enough about the PostGIS provider in order to help with that. I assume that if it does not load the provider DLL, the PostGIS provider DLL is missing a dependent DLL. You can try running the dependency tool (depends.exe) on the provider DLL to see if any dependency is missing. When you use the dependency walker, try running it from the AutoCAD environment (type in the command SHELL and press Enter twice). It is possible that while libpq.dll is in the system path, it is not in AutoCAD's path environment. You can ignore the MPR.dll and SHLWAPI.dll dependencies, they are not causing the problem.
