Is the wish list now being hidden? Is there still a wish list?

I believe that the wish list has either been retired or passed away.  

On the old site (pre-Beltaine 2008) there was a wish list that may have been kept up to date.  At approximately Beltaine of last year, the site had gone down with data corruption, intentionally or otherwise and was not able to be restored from backups.  Since then, Natalie, myself and a couple of others has worked on accepting responsibility of working on the web site and sub-domains of Our Haven.  Natalie has done a wonderful job of using her graphic talents and web design skills to construct a set of informative and beautiful pages that is appealing to the eye.  

I have also donated some time and energy to creating the registration site that would assist in managing any monies for festival registrations, memberships, purchases and donations.

If you wish to make a donation to a specific area, there will be a notes section where you can input what area you would like to have the monies directed to.  Else, if you would like to have it go toward a general purpose/"as needed", leave it blank and it will go where needed.

I believe that the current needs are:  Gravel/Road Improvements, Grounds Improvements and since the ice storm of last year, I believe that a new Garage would be on this list as well.  There are probably more than I can recall since I don't have a complete list.

If anyone else has any suggestions please email me privately and I will get a list together.  I will bring it up at the community meeting on May 3 during Beltaine and add to it during the meeting and publish it to the registration site.

Whole new garage or is it repairable? That would mean lumber and tin,,We have been known to find both.

I am not a structural engineer and have not taken a detailed look at it yet and I don't know if any materials are salvageable.  The weight of the ice appeared to collapse the rear of the garage. There are several support beams that have been twisted and I do not know what it would take to repair or rebuild.  However, it would be a good opportunity to start collecting monies for repair or rebuild.

If you are coming out to Beltaine, you can probably talk to Robert to see what needs to be done, what could be done for how much and what he thinks could be salvageable.  

I know that they are going to be clearing a lot of the dead equipment from that graveyard into a dumpster today (Monday) where there are several dead lawn mowers (push and riding), weed eaters, chainsaws...  etc that have been occupying space.

If we go ( and I am not saying we are yet at the point we are ready to come back, we are waiting for a sign) One of us here is more than qualified to tell the what, how, and how much of the job.
Now would be a good time to make improvements to the old beast.


 If someone is going to be hauling  off the mowers etc why not give them to one of the guys around there that does mower and small engine repair and they can use them for parts. ay to pitch them in a dumpster seems like a double waste.

When you are ready to come back, we'll be waiting.  :)

And, someone is already salvaging the mowers to see if he can make one or two working "Franken-mowers" out of the mess.  He has some small-engine repair skills and I have seen him resurrect more or two devices on his own without the use of lightening.  Plus he said that he'll take them away and either they will come back running or they won't come back at all.

Glad to hear the mowers are going to some use. I do so hate waste. I hope he can build up a couple of working ones from the pile of dead parts.

But I have to say the use of lightening to resurrect them would have been more impressive.

We'll just say that there is the minimum amount of shrapnel that can be produced this way.  :)  

I actually can't wait to see a Franken-Mower.
