Nubie alert...

If I create an svn log every week, just for that week, and run the same StatSVN command, will it update and append the existing html or overwrite it with only that week's data?

Or is there another way to update weekly without rerunning the whole last 2 years?

We have a caching mechanism that doesn't re-query the server for old data when re-running. Several users run it on multiple years (including myself).

If you limit the log file, the statistics will be invalid.

Great. So I just rerun the log and then rerun statsvn every week or even every night if I want to keep it current.

Now - - you mention a cache - where is it and can I query it myself? Is it documented?

I run mine once a day. You can specify the cache directory using the -cache-dir attribute. By default, it is in your user's home folder, in the .statsvn directory.

The format is not documented, but it is straightforward XML.
