Thank you for this very entertaining mail, perfect for a Friday afternoon.
May I point a few strange points within your mail? (sorry, this is only
a rhetoric question as I am going to point them anyway)
*You know that WMA sounds better than MP3 at even half the bitrate. That
is a possibility, but you forgot to tell us which bitrate.
*You know that WMA sounds better than MP3, but you know it without
having done a single test, as you are unable to find a WMA encoder
*You are pointing that ogg sucks. Now, I am wondering what Ogg, which is
a container and not an audio format, is sucking. Maybe you just meant
that, as a container, it can "suck" content inside itself? Well, you
probably meant this, as this is the only way it makes sense.
Now, as you have been very polite and entertaining, I am going to point
you to the solution:
WMA is an acronym for Windows(tm) Media Audio.
As such, it is supported by some Microsoft products, including a piece
of software called Windows Media Player. I know it does not sound
obvious with such a name, but this software can also convert audio CDs
and wave files into WMA files.
The good news is that this software is perhaps already installed on your
computer, and that once you payed for your Windows license, Windows
Media Player is free to use, no need to spend additional money.
Have a nice week-end.
Regards,
