Hi all,

Just a brief request to the list re. any ideas for a venue for the Plone
Bootcamp in Feb 2009 for 35-40 people, as I've spoken to a few venue
administators in Wellington thus far and haven't made a lot of progress.
So far I've had one quote from Victoria Uni, which is the best thus far
at 475.00 + GST per day.

For the record, I've also contacted the National Library (haven't heard
back), Catalyst IT (the event was too big for their facilities), the
Treasury department (haven't heard back).

Some further comments re. requirements from Joel Burton (the trainer):
It needs:

- To seat 35+ people *comfortably* (ie, not sitting on top of each
other). They're going to be there 8h a day :)

- Tables for the people, all facing me.

- Power (people can bring extension cords from home, but there has
  to be enough power)

- A large screen (big enough to project code onto; a tiny screen won't
  do)

- Be within walking distance of places students can get a sandwich for
  lunch

Nice to have:

- Projector (I can bring mine, if need be)

- Internet (very, very  nice, but not required)

More info on the Plone Bootcamp available here[1].

Thanks!

-Tim

Not sure if any responses have come through yet but some initial thoughts

Loaded Hog Wellington (site is down though - and assume all will need to be 18+)

I will check with the conference coordinator at work see if she has some more suggestion.
