WHY DO YOU WANT TO CHANGE IT Standards can still be reset once a year using this information. The way it is done now is very cumbersome and labor intensive. It is also very condusive to stress in the workplace (During the count and the rest of the year trying to conform-which is certainly not safe-) and is costly. Just look at all the time and money they spend trying to save time and money by cutting our salaries as much as they can. By the way, I spend just as much time on the road handling DPs as I do in the office casing it.

Lynda, I also am an advocate of the yearly average scenario.  They know quite well what we carry each and every day throughout the year.  The thing is, that would be FAIR.  We all know that the fair only comes to town once a year and when it does, it leaves a wake of stress, pay cuts, lost off days, and depression.  No popcorn and candy and fun rides with big stuffed animals at this "fair".   I wish we would lobby for the "yearly average" but that would be to OUR advantage and now it raises the question, "Why haven't our national leaders pushed hard for this?"  Now, we have a more serious issue. I hope you continue your quest to improve our plight.  Never let the naysayers discourage you.
