Salam Mr Naziry and Mr Rahim,
I'm Mohd Izhar Firdaus Ismail, 7857, ICT student final year.
I have an issue to report, which affects ALL of us who are not using the Microsoft products - Windows and Internet Explorer. That means, us who uses Linux, Unix, and Macs.
From utp-prism.my whois information, I found out your email address as the administrative contact for this site.
For your information, UTP-Prism javascript is not compatible across browsers and can only work with Internet Explorer on Windows platform. This proves to be a problem for us to use the system as we are not using such platform. That also includes windows users who are not using Internet Explorer due to its highly insecure nature.
Our previous registration system, even if its ugly and slow, it is compatible across browsers and OS but UTP-Prism is inferior in that functionality.
Some Javascript error messages that stops anybody who are not on Windows with Internet Explorer from registering for any courses:
Element referenced by ID/NAME in the global scope. Use W3C standard document.getElementById() instead.

document.frmCourseInfo.txtCourseCode is not a function

I hope this issue is taken seriously by your team as Microsoft Windows is an expensive proprietary platform and we students does not have the money to buy such expensive software for only to register our courses that is, unless we buy pirated windows, but we do not want that.
I believe UTP do not want to be known as a university that forces students to use pirated proprietary applications. So, I hope this matter is taken seriously.
For now, I only leave my default registered course there (the FYP2 course). I hope this issue is resolved by add drop next semester so that we can register our courses properly.
Thank you
