Most of the 4240's I have ever seen are not correct. Your daily evaluation is 9 hours per day but that should not be a hard and fast time for any rural carrier. You will have long days and shorts days that hopefully will even out during the year, in the Fall months work days should be longer and shorter in the Summer. You can determine the daily work hours by dividing the weekly hours (45K) by 5 days.

Subject: Trip Sheets, PS Form 4240
As a Sub, I've asked several regulars who can not give me a straight answer - they are not sure so here goes.
I'm not sure how to read all the info typed on the Trip Sheet )PS Form 4240). It's a K45 route, has the start time, out time, return time and ending time (you have left the building for the day). So in this timeframe as typed on form (start time to clock out time) does those times already INCLUDE your lunch break of 30 minutes or what???? I want to know that I'm staying within eval time and no one seems to be able to answer this question?
