My stand on "other's opinons" are this. I have read The Articles of Our Haven an it don't say others or town moron, it says Mane and Mary the Elders. It is up to Mane or Mary to set and rules, bans, and membership approvals/disapproval. So "others" can like it, lump it, or not attend. If I was to get approval to build a mansion on Our Haven and not like an event, person ,circle, or person then I am still welcome not to let the gate hit my disgusted ass as I leave.
My concept of Our Haven from my first visit is a place created for my to come to and be myself in a positive spiritual manner. It is also a place I can come to in times of need. In my humble opinion as part of the community at large that we all agreed to this when we sign the membership form or register to attend an event at Our Haven.
I have been on the road driving a semi for the passed five months and have not gotten the chance to be aware of happens at Our Haven lately or been able to visit. I have been a member of Our Haven coming on seven years this June. Jacob was weeks old his first visit. I have poured blood sweat and tears into the idea of Our Haven.
I have made many friends here and lost some along the journey. One of my lost friends, The Gate keeper Chas, would not put up with one person to talk ill of ANY member or Elder without a fight. If it take that mentality to help Our Haven, I am sure I would not be the only one to pick up his banner and march on.
I will be attending Beltaine I hope you all will also.
