That is the question my old boss puts forward..  On the one hand, I see his point in cutting back on the costs of housing non-violent criminals.  On the other hand, the laws are on the books and if we just start picking and choosing (think illegal invaders) which ones we want to uphold, well we're in troubled waters then.  Knowing Neil, he's got to be facing some budget shortfalls and needs to tighten the belt so I chirped in to give him a little to think about.  Risk Management. It's the Jamiel Shaw Jr. theory.  You let somebody out of jail when they clearly should be there, and they end up killing another person, you have just opened up the Sheriff's department and the county to a lawsuit.

Wonder what you think.

Governor Rod Blagojevich and Mr. Obama's good fundraising friend, Tony Rezko, are non-violent criminals, as far as I know.  I think they both should be in jail for the total vandalism and theft in the State of Illinois.  Then there is Mr. Ayers who managed to stay out of jail.  Look at his attitude today.  Had he served a few years in prision for his violent acts, he might have a different attitude today.  He is currently a high-flyer who beat the system.  Does the system work?

Good points SeeBee, Ayers should be in prison and not given a a job at a university.  Amazing that he's allowed to even walk amongst us.  I have a strong feeling Fitzgerald is going to nail Gov. Bag-O-Chips.  I bet that he needed a change of clothes when Fitz indicted "The Pope".  If anybody knows anything, it's him.

According to Illinois rumors the birds are singing their hearts out.  The only problem is, according to Illinois Senator Bomke today, they (whoever "they" is) will not indict a "sitting" governor.  We taxpaying citizens in Illinois should know this because we probably win the prize for having the most governors sent to jail.  Also, today, Durbin announced that he would like to see former Governor George Ryan given a pardon.  Hard to believe Durbin is being such a nice guy to a former Republican governor.

Our newspapers have been full of the fact that democratic Governor Blagojevich and Durbin do not get along.  Blagojevich has not been answering Durbin's calls regarding the appointment to fill Obama's senate seat.  Evidently, Durbin does not want to see Blagojevich's good friend, Emil Jones, get the appointment because Jones is 73 and Durbin said he would like Blagojevich to appoint someone who can run for the office in 2010.  By the way Emil Jones was Illinois Senate President and he and Blagojevich held the state legislature and Illinois taxpayers hostage for the past two years!  I just can't wait until these Chicago politicians get to Washington ----

Can anybody tell me if a sitting governor can be indicted while in office and hopefully removed?

Hello Seebee, if you see Bomke tell him I said hello.  Wally likes to call him Borat.  My aunt Rita used to work with him at his insurance company.  They insure my commercial property on North Grand and 1st (Cashland rents it).  Anyway, a sitting Gov. is not above the law.  The big “Republican Power Broker” that was just indicted holds the key to all.  Funny how the big “Republican Power Broker” is a big supporter of fellow Springfield resident named Dick Turbin.  Why do you think he keeps getting re-elected?  That’s why he’s being kind to Gov. Ryan.

I know so much more about the behind the scenes politics in Springfield and Illinois but I’m afraid if I started blabbing more on here that my family and I would wind up at the bottom of lake Hunter (folks, the lake has not even been built or approved, but we would end up there.)  I have dropped many hints on how to take out Obama it’s not even funny.  I see the post on questioning his birth certificate but why do that when you can just look into the TRS?  It’s all right there.
